We are passionate that all our young people learn how to be creative and express themselves in their dance and drama lessons. Our curriculum is designed to ensure that students experience and explore a diverse range of dance and theatre styles and appreciate beauty and excellence in professional works by choreographers, directors and performers from a variety of disciplines and cultures.

Students are encouraged to develop their self- confidence as directors, choreographers, designers and performers and have many opportunities to work as highly effective team players to share and celebrate their skills in performances and school productions.

In KS4 students can opt to study drama or dance as a BTEC Tech Award. This qualification enables students to study professional works in greater depth, develop their critical thinking and hone their skills as performers.

The curriculum is complemented with many extra-curricular opportunities facilitated by our specialist staff and our arts partners, such as Curve Young Company and Moving Together Dance.
