PSHE
Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) is taught to all year groups in tutor time. The PSHE curriculum includes topics on health and wellbeing, relationships and living in the wider world. Students are also exposed to key aspect of the curriculum in other subject areas where appropriate.
At The Herewoode Academy, our students are exposed to a wide range of opportunities where they can develop the key life skills and attributes that they will need to be successful now and in the future.
Personal Development equips students for the challenges they may face in life, allowing them to flourish, develop resilience and make healthy life choices.
Through Personal Development students learn about issues in society so that they can become more accepting of others and themselves.
Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSE), is a statutory framework. Throughout their time at Herewoode, students gain knowledge and understanding of the RSE guidance to ensure they are prepared for their future.
